Spring’s not quite here yet, but it’s definitely on its way. The birds and blossoms are back, and the March/April issue of Seattle magazine has hit the stands. Snag a copy and dive into nine uniquely diverse and ever-changing Seattle neighborhoods and suburbs, or check out our Spring Arts Preview.

THE FANTASTICKS

The Fantasticks is a charming play packed with laughs, catchy songs, and the story of young love battling meddling dads. With a fresh take, you won’t want to miss this classic mix of romance, fantasy, and growing up.

 

 

TASTE WASHINGTON: PACIFIC STANDARD

March 14

6 p.m., Pier 62 Waterfront Park, $150

Pacific Standard is all about celebrating the seafood we’ve got right here in Washington. Think salmon bakes, fresh oysters, hearty seafood boils, creamy chowder, delicious sushi, and more. Plus, there’s plenty of Washington’s finest whites, rosés, and sparkling wines to sip on.

 

53RD ANNUAL ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Saturday, March 16

12:30 p.m., Jefferson Street and Fourth Avenue downtown Seattle, Free 

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins with a fun mini-parade that adds a ceremonial green stripe down Fourth Avenue. The festivities kick off with a peace Mass, followed by the main parade proceeding from Fourth Avenue and Jefferson Street to Westlake Park, ending at Seattle Center. It’s a mix of tradition and community spirit, all in green.

 

TREVOR NOAH: OFF THE RECORD

March 19-24

7 p.m., 8 p.m., The Paramount Theatre, $55- $370

Catch Trevor Noah as he brings his sharp wit and observations to the stage. Known for his unique take on everyday life and the world around us, Noah’s stand-up is hilarious and thought provoking.

 

U DISTRICT CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

March 16-April 1

U District, Seattle, Free

When Seattle’s cherry blossoms bloom, the U District shines. Celebrating the iconic cherry blossom season at the University of Washington, more than 80 U District spots are rolling out cherry and blossom-themed treats and deals.
