Valentine’s Day – it’s a hit or miss holiday, right? Some years, my husband and I go all out, but this year, I’ll be out of town, so it’s a pass. But honestly, it’s a day full of possibilities. Who doesn’t want to celebrate love and make someone (anyone!) feel special? So, whether you’re all in or not so much, if you’re looking for gift ideas, here are a few to consider.
Cuddle up together in one of these stunning wool blankets from Eighth Generation. Louie Gong’s (Nooksack) Coast Salish Pattern, $225, is not only cozy and beautiful, it’s Vogue-approved.
A new duffel, $90, perfect for crashing at each other’s place. Kavu also sells cuffed jacquard beanies – very Pacific Northwest.
Help your lover cut through the gray of winter with a dreamy new book – like Kelly Link’s debut novel, The Book of Love, $31, hitting the shelves on Feb. 13 – strange, beautiful, and filled with magic. Or, opt for a gift card to their favorite bookshop.
Write a love note in one of these goofy Valentines glasses greeting cards, $24, from Clover.
A fun cooking class for the two of you at The Pantry, $140.
Give a booSH fiddle leaf fig complete with care instructions because let’s face it, love takes effort. Or, visit Sky, Swansons, Kubode, or Canopi for a plant buying date.
These Fran’s double chocolate figs, $60, sound incredible. My kids swear by this hot chocolate, $10. Or, a box of Royce’ Nama chocolates, $105, from Uwajimaya.
A cute card, $6, or Pipsticks, $3.95, from Shiga’s Imports.
A trucker hat from Standard Goods. I like this Olympia beer one.
Tickets for two to see some live music, Feist ($50), Dianne Reeves ($54), Bakar ($30), or Mipso ($20).
Snag these cozy fleece slippers, $28, from Vixen Collection.
Surprise your love or best friend with a Sacred Heart Pendant, $320, from Valerie Madison, or grab one for yourself – obviously.
OLO fragrance, $45, from Prism. The Cedar and Rose scent always gets me compliments. This sexy incense holder, $32, is fun too.
Gift a card to relax and rejuvenate: sweat with a friend at City Sweats ($45), a facial ($78), manicure ($36), and haircut ($45) at Habbitude, or Banya 5 for a soak ($65).
Send someone special a pretty pink and red bouquet, $87, because you can never go wrong with flowers.
