There’s something about flying a kite that catches the attention of children and makes them beam – maybe it’s the idea of flying or just the focused feeling of holding on tight to that kite string and grounding it to the Earth with their little hands. Carkeek Park
Broadview/Crown Hill Neighborhood, 950 Northwest Carkeek Park Road
Located between Ballard and Greenwood, Carkeek Park is another one of those hidden gem parks that local neighbors like to keep to themselves! There is a trail and bridge that lead down to the beach where you can pull out your kite for some fun! Be sure to check out the play area here too – it’s a big hit with kids and parents.
